The Winston Brasserie is one of the nice restaurants part of the "W Hotel" complex in Istanbul.

Located on a calm stone pavement street, The Winston is a very nice and tasty restaurant, one of the one I enjoyed the most around the city. Their menu is listed on a double-sided paper where breakfast, toasted sandwiches, ice-cream, cakes, tea, milkshakes, soft drinks, coffees, soup, starters, salads, crepes, burger & wraps, pastas, noodles, risotto, pizza, chicken, beef and fish... A huge and very diversified choice.

On our fist day in Istanbul, after a long morning that started at 5am, The Winston was the closest choice for satisfying a major hunger. We didn't know anything about it but the decoration was worth a try. A choice of fresh french bread is served to start with cheese balls, olive oil and balsamic vinegar before moving to the serious stuff.

We ordered that day: The soup of the day, the Beef Stroganoff salad, the Margherita pizza, the Quattro Fromaggi pizza, the Three Mushroom steak, the Salmon salad and the Insalata Dil Pollo e palate.

Before even eating, the decoration and generosity of each the plate was a feast for the eyes and visually mouthwatering. I loved their Beef Stroganoff  salad served warm with tender beef and a sauce that goes very well with the greenery, it was a premiere for me and appreciated a lot the four cheese risotto with its sharp flavors, even though it's a heavy dish. The four of us sharing this meal were satisfied and remembered this lunch until the last day as we considered it as one of our favorite experiences during the trip.
