“Old and authentic”
The hotel is named after Johann Philipp Graf Stadion who was a statesman and foreign minister. It was built in the Biedermeier Epoche style in 1824 and is registered as a historic monument: that is why the stay at the Graf Stadion is pleasant and memorable. According to still existing documents the house is run as a hotel since 1897, so imagine the hundreds and hundreds of guests that passed from here, tried the rooms and dined in its restaurant. The hotel was renovated throughout the past years. After a modernization in 1984 followed a complete reorganisation and redecoration during 1999. All rooms, also the reception, lobby and interesting breakfast room have been adjusted to the higher 3 star hotel comfort. Old, authentic with dimmed lights, small rooms and a 19th century elevator, its a pleasant way of discovering old Vienna at an affordable price.
The 3 Star Hotel Graf Stadion is located in the historical and central district of Josefstadt (Vienna's 8th district), within walking distance from the famous sights of the Ringstraße like the Rathaus, Burgtheater, Parlament, Hofburg, museums and other sights of Vienna's historic city centre.
