By the water, enjoying the passing boats, I sat for dinner at De L’Europe hotel in Amsterdam. Fully booked that night, I could barely find a table. On the menu, a selection of gourmet choices of fish and meat. A head waiter serves the wine and takes the orders by heart, waiters walking around in a hurry... an enjoyable ambiance but not enough staff to handle this busy restaurant.
I loved everything this hotel has to offer; its premium location, breakfast choices, the bar, and its restaurant which I’m trying tonight.
Dinner starts with bread; pour olive oil, a sprinkle of salt and another of pepper and enjoy. This restaurant has a very good bread quality and a premium olive oil.
Food was served all-together. An asparagus risotto in a metal pan. Crispy wedged potatoes. Macaroni and cheese. A freshly looking sliced beef with a colorful salad and a rich sauce.
As simple as the macaroni could be, the one I ate tonight are delicious. Minicircles of macaroni with meat cubes and a creamy sauce. The Pasta is cooked al-dente making it more enjoyable.
Loved the risotto, green and creamy risotto decorated with thyme leaves and asparagus fingers. Loved the seasoning and taste.
I was enjoying the moment... enjoy the photos.
