The experience starts way before you reach the restaurant while walking through the lobby of Andaz, a classy and modern hotel located in the heart of Amsterdam. Bluespoon welcomes you for a quick lunch menu or a casual dinner proposing a selection of international dishes prepared in a three menu course concept.
I loved the restaurant! A big spoon decorated the entrance, a big open kitchen, a buffet area -I presume where breakfast is served-, decorative sculptures, design chairs and much more to satisfy the eyes.
On the menu:
- First course: langoustine, mackerel, beef tartare and green gazpacho.
- Main course: veal tenderloin, lamb, white asparagus, halibut.
- Desserts: chocolate mousse, apple terrine, goat yogurt, lambada, chocolate chili.
At lunchtime, Bluespoon proposes a preset menu for only €35. Burrata to start, beef as a main and a mouthwatering dessert. Good food is served here from start to end accompanied by endless baskets of bread served with their butter and two glasses of wine for each.
I loved the vibes and the food; it’s a restaurant I’ll visit again and probably book at the hotel next time I’m visiting the capital.
