A new pan called “Flare Pan” cooks 30% faster than standard pans, due to a new design inspired by jet and rocket engines, which mean it has a series of tapered fins which captures and channels heat from the flame, resulting in efficient and even heat distribution.
Developed by University of Oxford engineer Thomas Povey and his students, the pan, took three years to design. The new pan heats up faster using less energy.
