Lounge, yes, Playground of course, but surely not a fine dining place as the slogan describes it!

Clay is a restaurant and playground for kids located on the Kornet Chehwan highway just next to Breakfast 2 Breakfast as the owners are the same. Clay is very interesting and successful concept for kids providing your children with two floors of entertainment in a safe and secured environment.

As their advertising says, they provide fine dining, I wanted to pass by since it's next to my working place to try their specialties. Their menu is nice printed on glossy paper and having many interesting sections from appetizers to cold and hot Lebanese mezze, salads, their so-called hall of fame burgers, Mediterranean platters, grilled platters, fried platters, deli bites, pizza and desserts. The pictures displayed are appealing but you will discover when ordering that they are not even close to reality.

What I liked about the place: - Interesting for families as the kids will play upstairs and the parents will smoke their chicha on the lower level. - Nice colors and design. - Interesting choice of food.

What I didn't like about the place: - Kids have to pass through the restaurant to go to the playing grounds making much noise that annoys clients coming without their kids to have lunch or dinner. - The menu and concept is an average diner and has nothing to do with fine dining. - I tried their burgers and can honestly tell you that the bread, the taste of the meat and the french fries are less than average. They use quality of bread bought at at the supermarket nearby and the patty is so cooked that it becomes hard to swallow. Even the presentation is very bad. Bread was maybe two days old.
