All-day dining restaurant proposes a buffet for lunch or a la carte menu. Arriving at three after noontime, the buffet was already closed so we had to choose from the menu; the signature beef tartare, the Zurich style veal and Swiss carrot cake are world-famous items you can find in all Movenpick hotels. Decorated with different palettes of red, dark wooden tables and an open kitchen, the restaurant is nothing upscale or fancy. Let’s check the food quality.
I had the signature Swiss veal, that Zurich chopped veal escalope with mushroom sauce served with traditional crispy rosti. My kids ordered the gruyère burger and the local traditional schnitzel escalope. Accompanied by a dark beer, I sat to enjoy my lunch.
Excellent food! The traditional Swiss escalope drew a smile on my face. Shredded pieces of meat mixed with their sauce on top of a crunchy potato pancake. A perfect combination of fine ingredients that tickled my buds in style. The sweet potato fries mixed with salt are simply awesome! Balancing the sweetness, the salt makes them perfect. Crunchy on the sides, tender on the inside, this is breakthrough!
Delicious gourmet burger! Delicious French fries. Top quality flammkuchen with apples and goat cheese. Pasta is also great, cooked al dente, prepares without garlic and mixed with a strongly acidic tomato sauce. Juicy and tasty schnitzel... everything is excellent!
Casual dining sans-façon at The Movenpick where food is simply excellent; bravo chefs and thank you for the pleasant experience.
