Arriving late in Frankfurt after a four hours trip from Munich and a long day in Stuttgart, having dinner at the hotel before going to sleep early was an obvious thing to do. Located next to the reception, Oscar’s is a Brasserie moderne serving a selection of oysters and shellfish, charcuterie, starters, soups, classics like the hamburger, and Schnitzel, meats, and pasta and the main grilled pieces.
Looking like a London bar blending with a French Brasserie, Oscar’s vibes are pleasant for a get-together with the guys, a family reunion or late night romantic drink. Professional service awaits handled by a skilled team; I was excited to try the food.
I’ll have a Buddha bowl with yellowfin tuna and the corn-fed chicken supreme. My family had the spaghetti, Paccheri, the Argentinian steak, and schnitzel escalope. Warm bread and salted butter and here we go!
A poke-style bowl with yellowfin tuna, crunchy pickles, edamame, carrots, and raw cashews. Thick pieces of yellowfin tuna and fresh vegetables topped with a sweet sauce. I loved the idea of adding crunchy cashews, ripe avocados, spaghetti-style carrots, and juicy quinoa. Two thumbs up for this bowl! Bravo for the simplicity, balanced textures, and flavors.
Juicy chicken with a crispy skin served next to grilled cherry tomatoes, pepper sauce, and fried potato slices. Good food! The chicken is so juicy that it doesn’t even require the side sauce. Presented in a metallic casserole, the sauce is great with the potatoes. Made of whole green pepper balls, I loved its spiciness and richness. Order the fried potatoes not the French fries next time you dine here.
Very slow service but good food: I enjoyed my dinner.
