When it’s called "the Market", it should have the vibes of a market and probably enough goods to buy. The logo is inviting; the menu is presented on an iPad with mouthwatering photos of all items. Sitting by the water, I was ready to have a pleasant lunch. Not too welcoming at first, and service is extremely slow... let’s wait and see.
Unprofessional waiters, one is chewing, the other plays with his tongue and makes bizarre sounds with his mouth... while five of them, gathered at the entrance chitchatting, we were waiting among other guests for our order. Filet mignon, chili eggplant, cheeseburger and potato purée; let’s have lunch.
Thirty minutes before the bread basket arrived, then the food. Kafta cheese fingers red on the inside and so hard they got stuck between my teeth. Potato purée, more of mashed potatoes lacking flavor. Eggplant with chili sauce is not spicy and tastes more like sweet barbecue sauce.
The burger bun is hard, cold and chewy. The meat lacks juiciness and fat making it feel like kebab. The French fries on another hand are good! Compared to all the other stuff I didn’t like, the filet mignon is a real delicacy. Very tender beef, juicy, red on the inside and not even needing sauce.
Expensive and not worth it. That’s a restaurant I don’t recommend and surely won’t visit again.
