I’ve been here, done that, enjoyed the experience and now back for more. Kesrwani, the famous fish market of Antelias welcomes you for an enjoyable experience of seafood, Lebanese mezze and beyond. Start at the fishery, choose your fish, and sit to enjoy lunch. Hummus, mtabbal followed by local seafood specialties. The fish display has it all, offering a wide range of fresh seafood you can ask to be prepared the way you want.
Under a high ceiling and a decoration created with only two colors -blue and white- enjoy a casual lunch accompanied by aromas of the sea. No music, no complication, and most importantly no shisha smoke, simply lay back and enjoy the moment.
Octopus, Samak Bizri, shrimp, prawns, smoked salmon, and much more. On the menu, find a selection of four salads, seven starters, ten hot mezze, and three raw fish platters.
Barracuda fried “fish Bizri” is one of the best I’ve ever had and to tell you the truth, I planned to visit again because of this plate. Small-sized fish, loaded with meat, battered and fried to amaze. Dip them in tartare sauce or simply hummus to double the pleasure.
Octopus followed, marinated a la Provençal and prepared for me without garlic; every slice softly breaks into pieces without chewing unpleasantly. I loved the grilled shrimp, enjoyed my hummus, indulged in a bowl of addictive fries, drizzled olive oil on the grilled fish... I couldn’t stop eating.
I enjoyed my second visit to Kesrwani already planning to visit again with the family.
