On a windy and cold Saturday morning, when the temperature was down to -1 degree in St. Charbel... The place was all covered in white... calm and serene we walked into Oasis for breakfast. I have been before and have talked about their famous manakish and unique bread, but my experience that day was different. We were alone to experience how the locals wake up in Annaya.
Oasis Mar Charbel is known by the locals for serving the best markouk bread in town... take it home, add cheese with ham, toast it and enjoy its airiness and crunch.
Labneh with vegetables to start: a light crunch, fluffy dough and fresh vegetables. A homey kind of wrap. Cheese and ham followed, my favorite sandwich, shredded ham and melted cheese on the same exceptional dough. Wait until you've tried the Labneh and kawarma, fresh Labneh with tender and rich meat, again in the best markouk bread you can ever experience.
And before leaving indulge in a mouthwatering Nutella wrap with bananas and nuts.
Amazing, delicious, excellent, exceptional... and much much more! Breakfast in Annaya should become a weekend destination.
