Serving New Shanghai cuisine imported directly from Asia, the restaurant owned by the Lebanese Azadea group is a masterpiece of architecture and design. Amazingly created, the long corridor takes you on a journey of style and color. Portraits, colors, windows and wooden chairs, every corner has carefully been created to impress. I was enchanted from the minute I walked in.
The menu is as impressive as the design; printed on recycled carton, the menu showcases the best sellers in a classy way. Choose between several choices of starters, noodles, salads, soups, dumplings, dim sum, wontons, gua bao, seafood, beef, chickens & duck, vegetables & tofu, noodles, rice, and chickens rice cake.
Edamame, seaweed, calamari, wontons... noodle salad, chicken soup, Xiao, wontons, duck, lamb dumplings, stir-fried clams, Kung pao chicken... the menu has gathered the best of Asia. I was craving a ramen bowl which New-Shanghai doesn’t offer.
PS: almost everything contains garlic. It was not easy to choose the food or eat safely. Let’s see how the food looks and tastes.
Good food, good enough, casual Asian, loaded plates, colorful and generously loaded. I enjoyed my dumplings, the rainbow beef, the noodles, and the sticky duck baos. Is it exceptional? No, it's not!
