Positive vibes from the minute you walk in! Marcelle is your unconventional bakery and cafe spread on three floors decorated with style. Arrive at the display, choose and order, pay and start climbing the stairs up to the third floor. A wooden communal table, a sink and home kitchen, decorative items and mirrors, wooden poles, metal structures, white walls, and olive trees. It feels good being here.
Up, on the third floor, a dirty table awaits. So we waited to be served. I felt that service and cooking at Marcelle are not serious, managed by people who do not know much about the food and beverage industry. There’s that extra mile missing in service, cleanliness, and cooking.
Sweet and sour açaí bowl! Frozen açaí -left as is without being mixed with almond milk to smoothen it up, adding to that a salty granola on top. I liked it, but this plate would have been a thousand times better with a drizzle of honey on top.
A plate of granola with dried bananas and crunchy almonds ready to float in almond milk. Healthy, crunchy, fresh, tasty but again, honey is missing!
Egg baked in the microwave in a brioche bread: the egg has a bizarre smell, the plates lack juiciness and a sauce.
Not worth it! The extra mile missing everywhere. It’s one of these places when you feel that you have nothing to write home about.
What a day... Ten Belles Bread’s dry bakery, Claus’ unprofessional service left is without food, and now Marcelle! I need a tasty meal damn it!!!!!
