Every time I pass by Sassine Square, I remind myself that I have to try Cantina Social. I heard good things about, an unconventional get together space where wine and food have another meaning. Cantina Social is where people meet and greet, where 24 choices of wines are poured by the glass and where music plays in the background to soothe your senses.
A casual get together, a meeting point of students and artists alike as well as any person who plans to dream. Good food, food wines and very affordable prices that will make you come again.
I couldn’t stop taking photos of the interior. Thousands of wine bottles, dozens of posters and drawings. Modern concrete and old Lebanese tiles. A big mirror behind the bar. White bricks cover the wall. A self-service counter. I loved the music.
Good and simple food is served here; order at the counter, wait for your order, take your tray and enjoy simple and unpretentious food. Food made with emotions, good products, enjoyable flavors; comfort food.
I liked this place and will visit again.
