The Investment Development Authority of Lebanon (IDAL) is inviting you to participate in the “E-commerce and Women-Led SMEs in Lebanon” project implemented by The World Bank and International Trade Centre (ITC). This project aims at increasing market access and sales by women-owned small and medium enterprises (WSMEs) via improved access to e-commerce platforms. The project is also carried out in collaboration with Flat6Labs.
This project will train and certify 20 e-commerce advisers (in the majority women) and will make 125 WSMES visible on e-commerce platforms. Women entrepreneurs will be connected to local and international e-commerce platforms and offered hands-on advisory support.
We are launching the call for application for both e-commerce advisers and WMSEs to participate in this program. You can find below the link to the call, which also includes more details, including eligibility criteria. Deadline to apply is November 30.
E-commerce advisers will receive online training on e-commerce to be better equipped to carry out e-commerce-related support to SMEs. The 2 weeks will be provided in two phases. Phase 1 will cover the foundation of e commerce and include the following modules: E-commerce strategy and market designer, product digitization, and Marketplaces, logistics and payments. Phase two will cover E-commerce operation/management, including the following modules: Account management, customer service & returns, digital marketing, and an advanced module on internationalization.
- In their turn E-commerce advisers will provide in depth training and hands-on support to WSMEs on e-commerce and help them list their products on an online marketplace, local or international. Each advisor will work with 6 to 7 WSMEs. E-commerce advisors will be remunerated by the project for the support they will provide to WSMEs. WSMEs are expected to cover the costs required to list on a marketplace.
- in case you or interested candidates need more details or have any question on the trainings. Please RSVP by sending an email to [email protected]. A Webex invite will be sent to confirmed participants.
