Vivino’s Wine Style Awards is an annual celebration created to recognize the world’s best wines, chosen by the world’s largest wine community.
Millions of wine lovers use Vivino to discover, rate, review and buy wines, changing the way people enjoy wine, and consequently disrupting one of the oldest industries on the planet. Vivino’s Wine Style Awards are the only industry awards determined solely by wine drinkers, not critics.
The fifth annual awards feature the 10 highest rated wines across 164 unique wine style categories - with less than one percent of all wineries listed on Vivino receiving this distinction. In order to qualify, wines must have received a minimum of 50 ratings during 2018. The 164 wine styles were selected based on popularity. Note that live, real-time ratings are displayed on the following pages and may not reflect the winning scores, which are based on scores from the 2018 calendar year.
