Public Antelias, is one of my favorite places on Antelias restaurants strip. The same goes for a lot of my friends and accustomed customers.
Public's unique metallic structure has two lower sections as well as an upper terrace. The metallic structure, which looks like a hangar, is colorfully decorated with bottles behind the bar as well as posters on the other side with a wooden floor facing the entrance. The place can hold up to 100 people with wooden tables and couches on the right wing and chairs around dining tables on the left wing and not forgetting terrace. Yabani is on the first floor offering Sushi in a Japanese ambiance. But wherever you are in the restaurant you can order sushi bites.
I love the high ceiling of Public that's sets a very relaxing ambiance. That's not all I love about the ceiling. It is decorated with road signs and city signs from all around the world related to the word "public": public transport, public roads, public affairs, public relations, public space, public record, public space, public good, public property and so on. At night Public transforms into the social hub where youngsters give the place a different vibe, playing tric-trac, cards and smoking their renowned Hooka while surfing the net.
I have been there dozens of times and still enjoy it every time like it is the first.
For lunch that day, we had a selection of Lebanese specialties from their wide and diverse menu of starters, salads, Lebanese, pizza, burgers, classics, fajitas, Platters, crepes, sandwiches, as well as a Japanese selection and desserts.
We ordered : - Tabboule which I really liked. - Hommos that is prepared perfectly and prepared without garlic. - A tasty Labneh - Grilled Mouajanat, fresh and tasty. - Mixed grill platter with tender meat and perfectly fried potatoes. - Baked potatoes.
Public offers and maintains high quality service and food since the day it started. I highly recommend this place for highly quick lunch or coffee anytime of the day.
