I always wanted to find out what rolled ice cream tasted like in the States, but moreover outside of Lebanon. Walking towards Soft Swerve, the soft serve ice cream king which I've previously visited, a banner grabbed my attention. Minus Celcius is an ice cream shop, very commercial compared to the famous ones I follow on Instagram, not as clean as I'd expect, but let's try!
A tiny portion of banana, a couple strawberries, a few dices of mango, a cup of a certain white liquid and he goes to prepare the rolled ice cream. It’s the milk liquid and strawberries only when we add half a dozen flavors in Lebanon; I felt proud of what we do back home.
He started another one, only mango, then added some decorative items on top.
Flavorful and aromatic but this ice cream feels so synthetic that I couldn’t have more than a bite. The ice cream itself is bizarrely and unpleasantly chewy. An ice cream shop for kids to say the least; not worth trying.
