Given their similar creative approaches, affinity with transformation and commitment to creations that transcend the original materials, the collaboration between Dom Pérignon and Michael Riedel was a natural fit. Deconstructing the letters D and P, the German artist has designed an optical metaphor inspired by the passing of time for limited edition boxes of Dom Pérignon Vintage 2006 and Dom Pérignon Rosé Vintage 2004.

Dom Pérignon Chef de Cave Richard Geoffroy, a leading figure in the world of champagne, regularly invites contemporary artists who share a certain vision to collaborate with the House. After Marc Newson, David Lynch and Jeff Koons,  artist Michael Riedel this year proposes his own distinctive and dynamic interpretation for Dom Pérignon Vintage 2006 and Rosé Vintage 2004.

With an interplay of deconstruction, digital superposition and aggregation of the letters D and P, the German artist echoes the singular ability of Dom Pérignon champagne to decode elements in order to reveal their defining essence.

The initials are reworked hundreds of times on the boxes and labels of the bottles, underscoring the need to allow time for the evolution towards excellence. The conceptual message inherent in this creation reveals the singular potential of each vintage, the precision essential to its elaboration, along with unique savoir-faire.

Drink Responsibly.
