I’m not used to stopping at restaurants for tourists but having the kids; you will choose the first that pops in front of you for them to sit and relax. Out of a dozen, I chose the one that opened in 1962, had a history, with tables covered with white cloth, table napkins, and wine glasses. The service is slow and bad, the waiter’s hands haven’t been washed for a week but anyway, let’s taste the food.
Food for tourists served without finesse: I liked the French fries, my bull’s tail which is the house specialty, grilled asparagus, and a tender beef patty. Back to my plate, I enjoyed the taste, sauce, and tenderness of the bull’s tail meat. Soak the French fries in the sauce and enjoy.
Other than the slow service, the thousands of tourists passing behind your back and the loud noises, you will be pushed by dozens of sellers and beggars spoiling your lunch experience.
Not a place I’ll come back to and undoubtedly not a restaurant, like the other neighboring ones, that you will choose on your next visit to Madrid.
