Known to have some of New York's best cookies, Insomnia was surely on my list. The place is small. A hole in the wall, Insomnia, on 2nd and 11th sells a dozen choices of cookies. The cookies are displayed on a tray, with labels, for customers to choose from. You can enjoy cookies on their own, with ice cream or just ice cream.
The cookies are thin, oily and buttery... One bite is too chewy while another is too flaky. They are served warm with crunchy bits inside them.
At Insomnia, the staff are welcoming and inviting, but the cookies are nothing extraordinary to write home about. I won't be putting them on my New York recommended list.
