Searching for the best breakfast spots in Athens, Trip Advisor led me to iFeel. A good rating in a restaurant loaded with people; I was lucky to find the last table available. Brunch is served every day from eight in the morning until six at night. Sunnyside up eggs, hotdog, egg white omelet, eggs Benedict, croque-madame, waffle with chocolate, poached eggs, brioche toast; club sandwich and pancakes, to name a few.
The place looked more like a bar, service is way too slow, and waiters are not welcoming. I was excited to try the food and change my first impression that was not quite what I expected.
Africans, Americans, Asians, and is middle eastern, there were people from all nationalities. I enjoyed sitting on the sidewalk, puffing my cigar, sipping my coffee, and living the vibes of Athens.
One of the best eggs Florentine I’ve ever had made with a fluffy bread, not a chewy English muffin, drizzled with a lemony hollandaise and topped with a handful of spinach leaves. Two perfectly poached eggs with a balanced flavor. The Greek omelet, the way it’s cooked and wrapped is interesting but unfortunately has too many unpleasantly crunchy bell pepper slices spoiling the juicy enjoyment. Waffles have nothing to talk home about.
Good food, one plate impressed me but didn’t feel that I want to come again.
