In just 60 seconds, U.S. consumers use and throw away 90,000 disposable water bottles. That’s 50 billion water bottles per year – or – 30 million TONS of plastic waste each year in the U.S. alone. Some are recycled while others that are thrown in parks, landfills, streets, and beaches. This is just US, how about the rest of the world?

The Hydaway, currently raising funds on Kickstarter, has come up with a bit different approach to this situation. The gadget is capable of compacting like an accordion into a flat disc that can be stored in the pocket.
