Walk into a the world of Latino sizzle as you step into Habana in Jounieh.

Habana, is one of those places in Lebanon that has been around for many years. They have been serving their loyal customers for more than a decade now... People always come back. The vibes inside this old house with its authentic old style colonial touch, huge old bricks,  green window shutters... is very upbeat and positive. Look around the dim lit space with normal height tables, high tables and high chairs, a busy bar area where barmen are busy shaking the cocktails of your choice... the sizzling sound of Fajita dishes passing ...all the intricate sounds add tempo to the loud Latino music that will keep you moving your hips even while sitting down.

I believe that some places are just lucky. Some locations bring luck, while others (no matter what they open in that location) fail. Have you noticed that?

I think Habana, located on a downhill road in Jounieh, may be a proof of this thought. But never the less we can't deny that the ambiance, food and predictable service has played a role  in the success of this place that people still talk about... An address in the Kesrwan area to go have fun, listen to good music as well as eat delicious crunchy homemade nachos.

Talking about food... Nachos are a popular food based on corn, of Mexican origin associated with Tex-Mex cuisine. In Mexico, they are called totopos instead. Nachos are fried corn tortilla chips covered in nacho cheddar cheese or shredded cheese or salsa and sliced jalapeño peppers. The Habana generous plate is to die for. So fresh and crunchy.

Fajitas are cut of beef used in the dish also include chicken, pork and shrimp. The meat is cooked with onions and bell peppers with popular condiments are shredded lettuce, sour cream, guacamole, salsa, pico de gallo, cheese, and tomato. They have one of the best around!

Taquito is a Mexican food dish consisting of a small rolled-up tortilla and some type of filling, usually beef or chicken. The filled tortilla is crisp-fried. Corn tortillas are generally used to make taquitos, though flour is sometimes used.

Quesadilla is a flour tortilla or a corn tortilla filled with a savoury mixture containing cheese and other ingredients, then folded in half to form a half-moon shape. This dish is so mouthwatering.

I love this restaurant especially their unique frozen Margaritas that come in various flavors to choose from.

The Margarita is a Mexican cocktail consisting of tequila mixed with orange-flavored liqueur and lime or lemon juice served with salt on the glass rim. Habana is one of those restaurants that have succeeded for its great food and service. The haven't used any upgrade or marketing strategies to survive. They don't even have a website yet they are still fully booked on week-ends.

It is a must try!
