Fauchon, the famous pastry, a reference in eclair and macarons making among other unique delicacies and chocolates, has opened its first hotel. Part of the Leading Hotels of the World, Fauchon takes you on a journey of style and art with a touch of luxury, professionalism, and style. The attention to details, welcoming, drink at arrival and macarons are the best first impression one can have.
First hotel of many with a plan to open twenty destinations within 2030, Fauchon has been operating since September 1st. I’m happy and glad to be one of the first to try it.
Fauchon is all about luxury and that pink color. Arrive at a small lobby, have a seat, enjoy a drink while the staff checks you in. A lady, gloves in hand, refills the cloches with a selection of macarons. Every guest is treated like a king, the receptionist sits with you on a table and helps you fill the paper. Welcome drinks are complementary.
Looking into the details, I couldn’t but spot the brand water bottles, the fresh macarons, the pink lines on the receptionist pants, the happy musical background, the decoration of the drinks... a great first impression!
And the room door opened... if you’re a fan of the brand, it will feel like candy land! The brand’s yellow feel, white and black finish and most importantly the unmatched generosity. I loved the attention to details, the view, the television and Samsung tablet, and the bathroom. A huge bathroom, a big walking closet...
Imagine that you are offered free of charge a selection of products to enjoy. Foie gras de canard, mini toast brioché, pistachios, sablés parmesan, and white truffles, mini cheddar crepes, tapenade olive noir, caramel biscuits, black chocolate truffles, salted caramels with vanilla from Madagascar, madeleines and fruit paste. Rose champagne and mineral water.
Macarons follow you to the room, and they are indeed exquisite — delicious macarons, soft and creamy with a light chewiness. I was so excited that I started opening a box after the other and they’re all exceptional! I’m a fan of the brand, falling in love with it even more!
After a long and relaxing night sleep, I took a refreshing shower and went down to breakfast. I loved it all, the hotel, the cafe, the food, and breakfast but would change two things. The air conditioning unit isn’t effective. The pillows are way to thick for sleeping.
Excellent details, utmost classifieds, and professionalism, Hotel Fauchon is where I'm staying next time I’m visiting Paris.
