For the third time in three years, I visit the Emporio Armani restaurant located under the Armani hotel in Milano. I remember it to be well lit, decorated in red colors and serving the best saffron risotto ever! Visiting and expecting perfection we were seated in the smoking area, the risotto has been removed of the menu, the music has become heavy and repulsive, placemats have disappeared, and the light so dimmed not suitable for eating. Forget about the dimmed ambiance and focus on the food! Excellent food! After enjoying yesterday night’s dinner and tonight’s spaghetti at the cafe and I can safely say that the chef deserves an award. The same exact intensely red spaghetti Pomodoro, outstanding tagliatelle bolognese and a tasty chickpeas mousse that feels like hummus mixed with broccoli and crunchy sesame biscuits.
Let’s talk about spaghetti! Tomatoes, simply tomatoes, intensely red and acidic tomatoes mixed with the aldente firm and hard textured spaghetti. Probably the best I’ve had. The bolognese is so good, so finger-licking good! Creamy, minced in small pieces and cooked to impress.
Bravo for the food! Third visit same great taste.
