Visiting Dominique Ansel's bakery is not enough to get the full experience of the place. This is why you have to check out what the kitchen has to offer that day. Innovative pastry items, croissant rolled in circles, unconventional cravings and the ice cream... these are some of the delicious things only served on weekends.
With its terrace, coffee shop and relaxing seating on New York's 7th Avenue, Dominique Ansel Kitchen welcomes you into its fresh blue colors and an endless display of yummies that is guaranteed to open your appetite.
I ordered four items:
- Chocolate Nutella Swirl croissant is layered with 66% dark chocolate and Nutella, melted chocolate and sprinkled with Maldon sea salt. The taste and texture of the croissant is different. Its intensity and that chocolate will just make you scream.
- Creme Fraiche Cheesecake: Light creme fraiche cheesecake topped with black truffle honey in its individual wood cheese crate. OMG, so creamy, so light, so rich with a certain unmatched finesse.
- Chocolate Mousse prepared a la minute needs a couple minutes to be ready. Light and moist, I enjoyed every drop of it. It's served in a plastic bowl and ready to go.
- Lemon Yuzu Butter Tart: Silky smooth with a little help from the milkshake maker. Oh so delightful! My favorite of them all, that zesty boost, that flaky and crunchy dough. This guy is indeed a master.
I love Dominique Ansel's creative mind.
