Dom Perignon $1682 Donut from Krispy Kreme

Krispy Kreme revealed their very special £1,000 (or $1682) dessert in the London department store, Selfridges. With Dom Perignon 2002 champagne jelly, 24-carat gold leaf, gold-dusted white chocolate flowers, and edible diamonds are just some of the very expensive ingredients on this masterpiece. np052014_expensivedoughnut_article

In addition to the pastry itself, there was a cocktail to accompany it made from raspberry and passion fruit syrup, Courvoisier Cognac, and more Dom Perignon 2002... naturally. National Doughnut Day is coming up on June 6th, so go ahead and order a dozen to celebrate.
