I read burgers and walked in... thinking it's a diner like any other, but Dirty Harry's Soho turned out to be a pub, a bar and a music club. The burgers are catered by "Burgers & Beyond". I loved the vibes!
A band of four was playing tonight - the sound was so clear. Dimmed and red neon lights, a long bar, several tables with leather sofas and of course a choice of five burgers and chicken. With that, more than 41 choices of beers are offered and I wished I could try them all!
I waited for my burgers while listening to the band and watching the bartenders preparing cocktails... Excuse the quality of images due to low lighting.
My first beer: BrewDog Dead Pony Club. A very aromatic beer with a toasted malt base transformed into a huge box of freshness embraced with tropical fruits, floral garlands and spicy undertones all over your palate.
Food!
- The cheeseburger looks good. A rounded bun, a thick piece of patty cooked medium rare, melted cheese and a strong lemony taste that's not too pleasant. It's not something you would expect in a burger.
- Loaded waffle fries! Euh... what's this exactly? Strips of fried potatoes that are neither crunchy nor soft. Hard and covered with sauce that smells of garlic and onions. Nope!
- The Cliff is a double-decker loaded with two super greasy patties, fatty cheese, bacon, mayo and lettuce. Too heavy, too fatty, too gooey... it's not something I enjoyed eating at all. The meat is like eating pure fat!
Burger&Beyond had better learn how to cook burgers that are edible!
