Booza, which means ice cream in Arabic, is a Lebanese ice cream parlor in Dubai. Opened just a couple of months ago, Booza, located in Souk el Bahar, is a small shop beautifully decorated with colorful wallpapers, white tables and wooden chairs.
A clean display of twenty flavors, bright and fresh in colors as you open the glass door... Of course you'll find real Lebanese flavors of meghlé, baklava, pistachio and jellab.
The main wall is divided into two parts; white and yellow on the left and green on the right with the Booza logo written in old Arabic calligraphy. A large glass opens on the kitchen where ice cream is prepared on a daily basis.
I loved the wooden tables, which gives of the feeling of "2ahwet el 2zez", the wooden chairs and the white marble tops also made me remember the souk of Douma, North of Lebanon.
I tasted almost all the flavors. Half are mixed with milk while others are made of just fresh fruits. Jellab, pistachio, almonds or meghlé, halawa and vanilla … delicious and distinct flavors. I liked the richness and consistency and most importantly the light sweetness.
Booza is my recommended spot for a good Lebanese ice cream in Dubai. Pass by and try two of my favorite flavors: Passion Fruit with crispy cores as well as the Mistki that leaves a sliding effect on the teeth.
