Family run restaurant, Bob Evans has more than 500 restaurants across the states, and it all started at a farm. Built to supply one restaurant with sausages, Bob Evans is now a diner competing with the big names; none is franchised, they are all owned by the same group which made me want to stop for a bite. A colorful space, American diner style where the farm is marketed around the walls. The menu is also colorful, a bit commercial for my taste, proposing a wide selection of breakfast choices, meat, chicken and fish, soups, salads, and burgers.

Mainly focused on breakfast items, the menu has eight pages dedicated to that; from hr griddle, breakfast values, combos, omelets, eggs Benedict and the loaded plates. For lunch and dinner, find lesser choices that look complicated like jr herb rubbed gurney, heartland chicken pie, meatloaf and tender pot roast. The menu also includes four choices of seafood, two chicken, two beef and four value meals. When you read the calories next to every plate, I’m sure you’ll reconsider; the numbers are high!

Lunch started when a basket of bread lands on table served with jams and Bob Evans honey; I ordered coffee and got a big pot! Yummy bread, two kinds of it, served warm. The bread is buttery, soft with a sprinkle of salt. They are called biscuits and rolls.

When you read the story about the family and how they own the restaurant; when you read the statements on the walls talking about making strangers friends, you expect good food!

Plates are unappetizing; food is now acceptable. Cheap American chain food, salty and fatty without a bit of love or passion. The mashed potato is white; the meat is chewy, the sauce is salty, the carrots are canned. There is more oil in the code than fish served with hard textured fries.

The burger is a disgrace for burgers: the cheapest cheddar cheese, a salty beef, and too much fat to be swallowed. That burger has an unpleasant aftertaste my body couldn’t accept.

On top of that, the coleslaw tastes onions, and the Diet Pepsi is sweet and without gas.

Unacceptable; this place is literally unacceptable.
