Excellent! World champion and the chef deserves the award. Born and raised in Belgium, chef Luigi Biasetto learned the art of chocolate and came back to his motherland. Pastry chef winner of “World Cup of pastry championship” in 1997, he has been successful ever since.

I was impressed by the “Setteveli” cake which made him win the award, the soft mini eclairs, their white ice cream cup, the chocolate mousse and the “Pizzuta”, a big-sized chocolate cake looking like a pizza and made of chocolate frangipane and hazelnuts.

A superb balance, great taste, light-sweetness and equilibrium of textures made to impress. It’s rare to discover a pastry chef that creates a handful of unique innovations; every cake has something unique, every bite makes you wonder.

Visiting Padova, now you know where to stop for a treat.
