I promised to visit again, so here I am popping by Anthony's Diner in Halat, where diner food is taken seriously. Anthony has invested his time and passion in this small diner facing the Halat Beach Resort entrance. They do pizzas, burgers and subs to be picked from a colorfully laid out menu.
I feel good here, it's a soothing place beautifully decorated in several colors - yellow and red making the greatest impact. The door opens to face the counter behind which the menu is printed on two large posters. You can see through into the busy kitchen where one order after another is prepared. Everyone has their heads and hands covered.
Large tiles cover the floor, there are light wooden tables surrounded with leather sofas, a metallic dessert bar and high tables with stools. Every table has a box of condiments providing mustard, ketchup, Tabasco, salt and pepper.
The menu: endless choices spread on six pages offering every single item a diner could. 7 hot appetizers, 7 salads, 8 pizzas, 8 burgers, 5 platters, 11 sandwiches and subs, 3 sweet cravings and beverages.
