My wife being from Jezzine, we regularly visit this beautiful village up south which the locals call a city. Surrounded by mountains of green trees, the lady of the south is indeed a gem nestled over the famous waterfall. I love coming here every other month.
My favorite restaurant there is called Al Chalouf. It’s been a while since I came here, but remember having some tasty bites and it still does. On of my Meshwar shooting, I enjoyed a generous, clean and welcoming at Al Chalouf. It is a restaurant I’ll take my family to on a Sunday outing.
To reach Jezzine in South Lebanon and to continue into the next villages in the direction of the Chouf, you have to pass by couple restaurants and Al-Chalouf is one of them.
Located on the highest point of the famous Jezzine waterfall, 75 meters over the valley, Al Chalouf provides a great view down to the sea.
The dishes are tasty, the menu is clean, the service is professional, the ambiance is calm and classy providing tourists and locals alike a decent and pleasant experience. From fried birds, to Hummus, Sambousik, Tabboule and many other specialities like raw meat followed by the Kachta Liyye signature dessert and fresh Lebanese fruits.
In this review, I believe the video and photos speak for themselves. Look at the generosity of the table, the colors of the plates and most importantly, a must have in Jezzine, the goat Labneh and the Kebbeh with Labneh.
Going to Jezzine, Al Chalouf is the restaurant of choice.
