I have visited this place in 2014 and remember that burgers were tasty! Service was good and everything made me want to come back while telling my friends ever since about their innovative packaging. On Rue Jean Mermoz and Rue Ponthieu service is hideous! Anyway, I ordered two burgers hoping they would make my night.

231 East St.’s slogan is that they have the only New York burger you can enjoy without a jet lag. The place feels American with its colorful signs, wooden tables, dark floor and brick walls. At the bar, on the couch, on a high table or a small square one, choose a corner and sit to enjoy your burger.

The concept: choose your meat, your sauce, your vegetables and a side of fries. I got two burgers for 20€ when two cost 28€ at L’Atelier du Burger.

A good burger is served here: the patty is juicy and cooked medium exactly like I requested it. Tomatoes, lettuce, and the pepper sauce. You don’t feel the sauce because it’s watery but enough to be felt. I liked it how the burger is toasted so the bread becomes warm and tender.

The cheeseburger is so good! A really good burger loaded with molten yellow cheese, tender bun, crunchy pickles, and chewy bacon.

Good value for money, good quality, good beef, good bread, fresh vegetables, and tasty fries... unfortunately unwelcoming service. I still like their food and consider one of the capital’s good burgers.
