Subtle colors, red neon lights, colorful chairs and stools, white tables... one wall with green grass and another with the poster of a sexy woman. A happy place that caught my attention and made me want to try it. Bowls of all kinds, poke bowls and açai bowls prepared a-la-minute.
A happy cashier explains and makes it fun...
You are asked for the bowl content you'd like, then the sauce. The bowl looks appetizing but unfortunately the sauce is too sweet and the rice undercooked. Brown rice that feels like boiled wheat, good quality salmon cubes and a very unpleasant sweet sauce. It’s not the best bowl I’ve had.
The açai bowl looks fresh and generous, beautifully decorated with coconuts, kiwi - with their peel, I'm not sure why - bananas and granola. The granola is hard and chewy, not crunchy and soft. The açai is too condensed, it urgently needs to be smoothened with something like almond milk. The açai has a very strong purple color that clearly shows how concentrated it is. Bananas on top, that same thick granola, kiwi you can’t eat, sweetened coconut... a mix that leaves an unpleasant sweet note in the throat.
I liked the cold brew draft coffee though but I wouldn’t come here especially for it. The food is way below expectations; this is not how an açai bowl should be and certainly not how a real Poke should be prepared.
